With more than 20 years of experience in the Christian Community Development field, Melissa Adams’ contributions to the Urban Alliance board of directors are invaluable.
As National Director of World Vision‘s U.S. Programs, she is responsible for overseeing the execution of core ministry strategies to increase child well-being in the United States.
Urban Alliance’s commitment to being catalysts for positive impact in Greater Hartford is what fuels her passion for serving on the board of directors.
“I am excited about serving with an organization that has such a heart and commitment to transformation and sustainable change in the local community,” she shared.
With deep roots in Lakewood, Washington, Melissa works closely with her church and several local organizations to address issues that impact the community where she also grew up.
When she’s not busy working to change lives, one of her favorite things to do is spend time at the ocean, especially with her family in Seaside, Oregon.
