The COVID-19 pandemic quietly snuck into our daily lives and shook our community to its core. Days were long as we monitored the news and fighting an invisible enemy began to take its toll on us all. But God is moving through the local church. We’re working hard to meet critical needs and demonstrate His love when people need it most, but we can’t do it alone. You’re helping, with donations of all sizes.
Laura Trinks volunteers as an Administrative Assistant at the Agape House, a ministry in the UA network that lovingly serves the homeless and people in need through a day center, life skills ministry, street outreach, food pantry, and friendship.
Throughout 2019, Urban Alliance has been growing, transitioning and starting new things. As we settle in to the new year, we are looking back, considering where we’ve been, and looking forward to 2020 and beyond.

On February 1, we were honored and delighted to recognize the efforts of our UAServe volunteers. An afternoon of food, fun and fellowship was capped off by recognizing some of our faithful volunteers.
On Thursday, February 13, 31 individuals representing 22 child and youth programs from 18 churches/organizations participated in the Generation Now! learning community meeting to explore techniques and resources to build community and connection in their programs.
On January 16, 45 people representing 28 churches and organizations gathered for one of Urban Alliance's regular Beyond the Basics learning communities, which included a presentation called Coming Alongside Returning Citizens – an invitation for churches to take up the call to minister to those who are reentering society after a period of incarceration.
