I hope you are doing well and staying safe during these challenging times. Our team at Urban Alliance has been praying for you, for our network of ministries, and for our entire community.
Unfortunately, we have had to close the UA office this week and postpone all on-site programming for the foreseeable future as we navigate the circumstances surrounding COVID-19 and the Governor's recent "Stay Safe, Stay Home" executive order. Most second-quarter trainings and learning communities will be rescheduled for future dates. However, this year's Community Outreach Day originally scheduled for June 13 and the associated Packing Party originally scheduled for May 22 have been canceled.
While these changes are disappointing, we are encouraged by the ways we can continue to serve. Our local World Vision warehouse is modifying operations to continue distributing essential supplies during this time of heightened need, in coordination with UA staff and ministry partners. Churches and nonprofit organizations in the UA network are adapting and finding innovative ways to help people during this crisis.
You can help, too. Now more than ever, more people in our community are facing hardship. UA and our network of ministry programs are relying on your support to continue providing essential services and resources that meet community needs.
Please consider partnering with us by donating here. If you’re a recurring donor and you send us checks on a regular basis—thank you, your support helps us to use our resources efficiently! Please consider moving your gift online right here.
Thank you for serving, giving, praying, and partnering together with us. We know that God is faithful and therefore we do not lose hope. During these uncertain times, may we all rely more fully on him.
"And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:7)
