MISSION

Wethersfield Evangelical Free Church's Mission is to "Love God, Love Others, Make Disciples".

PROGRAMS & MINISTRIES

Bright Beginnings
Bright Beginnings is a licensed Christian preschool started in 1985.
The school aims "teach the whole child," including a development of God-consciousness, socialization, creativity and self-expression, language and thinking skills and a healthy self-image. The school's desire is that the children attending and their families will know the love and care of the Christian community, as well as the Savior, through words, attitudes and actions. For more information on Bright Beginnings, please visit, bb-preschool.org.

Caring Hands
Caring Hands is a monthly service ministry that works on prayer blankets, chemo caps, winter hats and scarves for inner city students and little dresses to be sent to Haiti. The mission is to provide tangible items representing prayer and Gods care.

Hands Open Wide
Hands Open Wide is a food pantry to Wethersfield and the surrounding communities, on the third Saturday of every month. Non- perishable foods are offered starting at 9:30am, on a first come first serve basis.

"For there will never cease to be poor in the land. Therefore I command you, 'You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in your land.' - Deuteronomy 15:11, ESV

Parents Night Out
Parents Night Out is a once a month Friday night outreach to families in the church, providing free childcare for kids, ages infant through 12 years of age. The volunteer team feeds the kids dinner, along with providing fun age appropriate activities and games. The idea is to give parents an opportunity to relax, get together with friends, run errands or do whatever else you want to do, knowing their child(ren) are being well taken care of in a safe environment.

Stephen Ministry

Wethersfield Evangelical Free Church identifies Stephen Ministers as, "the 'after' people, who care for people after the crisis that changes everything." The Stephen Ministry desires to come alongside those who need care in many of lifes crisis points. They each have dedicated over 50 hours of training to learning and serving, but are not licensed counselors. As trained Christian "caregivers, their role is to listen and care, not to counsel or advise".
