Relational Model

The UA Network revolves around facilitating organizational relationships between a variety of churches and organizations to improve needed services in Hartford. These Network Participants come together to participate in a larger, collaborative movement of holistic UA Network Initiatives with strategic help and support from Urban Alliance.  In addition, Urban Alliance develops beneficial working relationships with Friends and Supporters beyond the UA Network that share common goals of improving lives and communities in Hartford and are interested in contributing to the Networks activities and impact.

Various groups and organizational entities relate in different ways to the UA Network, as illustrated above.  These relationships can be characterized by one of the following three roles:

Network Participants:
The Urban Alliance Network is comprised of Christian churches and organizations that desire to work through collaborative action to serve under-resourced populations in Hartford.  Participants affirm and exhibit the core values and guiding principles articulated by Urban Alliance and shared across the Network.

Network Friends
Network Friends are organizations and agencies that do not participate in the UA Network, but they share a working relationship with Urban Alliance in order to accomplish shared goals, outcomes in the community, and/or help UA Network Participants provide needed services to Hartford residents.

Network Supporters
UA Network Supporters are institutional and individual donors who recognize the value and impact of the Network and want to contribute towards these efforts through grants or a donation of funds.
