Participants

UA Network Participants are Christian churches and ministries that desire to serve under-resourced people in Hartford through effective collaborative action.

Although the Network provides a variety of benefits and support, Participants dont view themselves primarily as “receivers”, but as contributors that drive action and take ownership of their role in the UA Network. Moreover, Participants have committed up-front to investing in working towards collaborative initiatives.

The Network model is built around empowering these Participants individually and collectively so that they are better able to sustainably and holistically impact lives and communities in Hartford. Each Participant brings valuable knowledge and resources to the table with an opportunity to help build something greater than any one single entity could accomplish on its own.

Churches

Urban Alliances approach is not limited to one type of Christian church or denomination. Churches may be large, medium, or small, urban, suburban, culturally diverse or ethnically similar. Each church brings its own richness and variety but shares a real interest in working collaboratively.

Ministries

If your organization identifies itself as a non-profit Christian ministry, church affiliate, or other type of service ministry organization, you may be interested in joining the UA Network. UA understands that every organization has something valuable to offer to the Network, and that more needs can be met when we work together.
