Urban Alliance, through its Network Participants, seeks to connect a wide range of services for needs in Hartford. Christian ministry organizations play a key role in serving needs, and we are seeking to build relationships with effective organizations who are interested in Network participation. Likewise, we seek to involve a broad spectrum of non-profit and community-based organizations outside of the Christian community, as well as, government agencies and departments interested in working collaboratively with the Urban Alliance Network. Depending on the type of entity you represent, your organization may find a role best suited for you as an UA Network Participant, Network Friend, or Network Supporter.
Network Participant: If your organization identifies itself as a non-profit Christian ministry, church affiliate, or other type of service ministry organization, you may be interested in joining the Urban Alliance Network along with other churches and ministries in the area who are serving needs in Hartford. Organizations that participate in the Network have great opportunities to enhance and expand their services and programs to better reach their specific populations. UAs Support Programs can provide your organization with opportunities to build capacity, mobilize resources, utilize volunteers, and connect with other churches and organizations in the Greater Hartford area that share similar passions for serving in Hartford.
Network Friend: Perhaps you are not part of a ministry organization, yet you represent one of the many non-profit, social service, or community-based groups already working to accomplish goals similar to those of the UA Network in serving under-resourced populations in the city. If so, your organization may see value in establishing a working relationship with Urban Alliance for greater community impact. As mutually beneficial opportunities are identified, cooperative efforts can be fostered through your organizations involvement as a Network Friend. You may be a State or City agency, or an established service provider in the community who could work cooperatively with Urban Alliance or alongside our Network Participants. Perhaps your organization has useful resource materials to assist, enable, or educate other service providers through our Network. We invite you to share the wisdom and tools youve gained with Participants in our Network who are looking to make a difference in the lives of people in need. Urban Alliance is here to help facilitate these connections and ensure that expectations and relationships are set for success from the beginning.
Network Supporter: Your organization may recognize the great value in what the UA Network is accomplishing and yet not be ready or able to work with Urban Alliance as a Network Participant or Network Friend. Nevertheless, your organization can make a difference in the work thats being done by becoming a UA Network Supporter and contributing financially towards specific UA Network Initiatives, which are working towards diverse sets of issues, causes, and specific populations. You can also donate toward any number of Network activities including Urban Alliances directed grant-making, research, or Support Programs for Network Participants.
We would love to begin dialogue with you, so we can help you find the role that is best for your organization. Please let us know youre interested by completing the Online Interest Form on our Contact Us page or by giving us a call at (860) 986-7724.
